WI: Ferdinand I of Aragon also becomes King of Castile?

I've just been reading up on the kings of Castile and Aragon again and I ended up on Ferdinand I of Aragon, who became King of Aragon and Sicily upon the death of his uncle Martin, after a succession crisis. Anyway, I read that upon the death of his brother, Henry III of Castile, Ferdinand declined the crown which went to his underage, and eventually ineffectual, nephew.

What if Ferdinand had accepted the crown of Castile and also became King of Aragon? There is some historical precedent. After the death of his elder brother, Sancho IV of Castile became king in 1284 instead of his underage nephews.

Sancho IV became king rebelling against his own father to get the crown.

Let's suppose that King Henry III dies in 1406 and Ferdinand becomes the king of Castille. Would the Aragonese and Valencia nobles, in 1410-1412, want to have as king the Castillian one? Aragon had rejected that same possibility three centuries before.

It wold have changed a lot of things. Perhaps we wouldn't see a eastwards expansion in Naples and an earlier conquest of Granada.
