Don`t know, if this topic was here, before...but can you imagine, how could Europe and the world look like, if Proto-Indo-Europeans never spread over Europe? And what if, Proto-Turkics never spread over a huge area over Asia, let`s say, they only moved to India or something..
What would the world look like at OTL Anno Domini? What in 500 AD, 1000 AD, etc.? Would the Etruscians or Carthage took over Europe as in OTL the Romans did? Or would Uralic peoples totally take over Europe? Or even Berbers?
And what about colonialism? Would Europeans still conquer the world or would Europe be discovered and colonized by, for example the Chinese?
Also interesting is the religions stuff and of course, what languages could we hear in Europe?
What do you think, would happen with this beautiful continent? And what effects would have such a thought on the whole globe?
I think of such a scenario very often and it is an absolutely interesting thought.
Here is a map, I made for a potential TL.
Red are Indo-Europeans, blue are Turkics. Darker shades would be at OTL Anno Domini, lighter shades their biggest extent maybe at 1700-1750...
