What if Europe had failed to be completely Christianized, and some Pagan Nations survived until at least WWI,probably the present day? Lets say Europe is about half Pagan/half Christian. How would this impact history?, surely they wouldn't send any soldiers to help in the crusades, so the first crusade might've failed just like all the others. And later history, would this affect the politics of say, WWI, in any meaningful way?

EDIT: Some specifics, Scandinavia becomes a group of Nations that worship the old Norse gods, Britain is a united nation that adheres to ancient Celtic beliefs, and much of eastern Europe (Including much of modern Russia) still worships ancient slavic gods. Let's set our POD Somewhere about the early 6th century, Christianity never really takes root in Britain, and It's various Chieftains and Kings are highly antagonistic towards Christianity, killing and imprisoning and converts until they stamp out the new faith almost completely. Things occur similarly in eastern Europe and Scandinavia. I Understand these beliefs would change much in the 1500 years between then and modern times, but just for starters.
