WI: Esperanto universally learnt

After the end of WW2, the UN includes the specific support for Esparanto as a universal language n their charter. Most western powers introduce Esperanto as part of the secondary school curriculm and the colonial nations have it introduced in limited degrees.

Does esparanto help foreign relations, or isolate the USSR (due to their dislike of foreign contact)? Can the thirld world be better off than OTL thanks to greater communication or stay longer as colonies due to easier administration?

If it did, it did so after Stalin's death. He killed off everyone who spoke the language that he could get his hands on.

Stalin had a unique talent for superficially supporting something while attempting to wipe it out. IIRC, the Soviet Union issued stamps in Esperanto around the same time it was shipping Esperantists to Siberian gulags.
