From what I read this marriage between an Austrian and Beatrice I of Portugal proposed but she did not accept as it would meant that she would lose her Castilian estates, what would be the consequences of this?

Wouldn't she still lose her Castilian estates? Then again, it's not as if her Castilian husband (who was right next door) did such a bang-up job of getting her proclaimed queen successfully. So, I guess Ernst would fight a bit, not necessarily be successful, head back to Austria with his tail between his legs and make lots of little half-Habsburg babies. (Although given her OTL childlessness (if the Prince Miguel is a later invention), I doubt it).
Or:
Ernst is slightly more successful than her Castilian husband was OTL simply because he might have the support of Portuguese nobles who don't want to be Castilians? IDK, could go either way.
Is this Ernest as in the father of Frederick III? Or who was in consideration?
