WI:Emperor of Shizong of Later Zhou lived longer(no Song Dynasty)?

Guo Rong,Emperor Shizong of Later Zhou was arguably one of the most talented rulers of the Five Dynasty period. He was administratively and militarily competent. He was even able to defeat the Khitans. He died prematurely at the age of 37 just as he was about to launch an expedition to retake the Beijing region. One major consequence of him dying was his general Zhao Kuangyin launching a coup to depose his son and established the Song Dynasty.Suppose Guo Rong lived longer, what would the consequence be?

I think that Shizong might not have to establish the OTL Song policy that favour scholar-bureaucrats over the militarists. Zhao Kuangyin did so IOTL because he feared a similar coup against him.
