In 474 AD Emperor Leo I died and according to his wishes he was succeeded by his 7 years old grandson Leo II. After 3 weeks of sole reign he was instructed by his mother Augusta Ariadne to crown his father Zeno as co-Emperor
However after a 10 months reign he died after short illness (not without suspicion of foul play though, but propably contracted measles and died) leaving his father as sole Emperor.
WI Leo II survived to adulthood and Ariadne assumed regency herself or appointing her uncle Basiliscus as regent leaving Zeno out of the picture? (Zeno was unpopular to Constantinople because of his Isaurian ancestry)
How is this affecting History? Any thoughts?
