WI Emperor Leo I has a different succession in 474 AD?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_I_the_Thracian#cite_note-7Emperor Leo I and Verina had a son who was born in 463. But he died five months following his birth. The only sources about him are a horoscope by Rhetorius and a hagiography of Daniel the Stylite... None of these sources mention his name though...
WI Leo's son survived and succeded his father in 474? He would be 12 years old by then... Would Zeno had accepted him as Emperor or he would revolt against the young Emperor? How is this affects History? Any thoughts?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_I_the_Thracian#cite_note-8

Another boy Emperor doesn't sound too good to me... Zeno was a rather competent figure, and did a lot to clear up the mess left by his predecessors both East and West. How would a fourteen year old behave towards Odoacer, for example? I doubt the whole deposition of Romulus Augustulus would be achieved as tactfully as Zeno managed to do it. Perhaps this teenage Emperor will be warlike, and send an army west, only for it to (probably) meet with disaster? Or maybe he'll be timid and weak like Honorius, and allow the Ostrogoths and Persians to play havoc on the frontiers? Either way, I suspect he'll fall victim to an Isaurian coup.

Essentially, Zeno was the man the Eastern Empire needed in the 470's, and removing him could I think cause Constantinople a lot of unneccesary troubles in the next few decades.

Zeno must face Basiliscus first whose position would be strengthened with his nephew as Emperor and he would propably be his regent too... Dont forget also that Zeno was quite unpopular to the people due to his monophysitism... in case of an Isaurian coup the people would rally around the young Emperor and Basiliscus...

If Zeno wants to beat the young Emperor and Basiliscus (who would be his regent propably) he has to abandon monophysitism which was the main reason of his unpopularity... Zeno should get rid of Basiliscus first and then claim regency for his young brother-in-law... Or maybe manipulate the young Emperor to crown his own son Leo as his co-Emperor...
If the young Emperor is smart enough (or if Basilisc is smart enough) and sees that Zeno is a potential threat he can easily name him Western Emperor and send him with an army to Italy to restore Roman authority there and get rid of him first...
