WI: Elizabeth of Valois marries Henry of Navarre not Philip II

I think the two can be married since they are at least 7 years apart and she can give birth to sons soon enough when he hits his prime and if her brothers die she inherits Brittany for her husband.

Please, try to be realistic... the eldest daughter of the King of France wasted to the king of a little country without much importance and also seven years younger than her? And she was pretty and healthy...
Elisabeth will be married in England (if Edward VI live longer) or Spain (to either Philip, if widowed, or don Carlos). Austria and Portugal are not options as their heirs are too young for her.

Henry married Marguerite for political reasons in a totally different contest from the one of Elisabeth’s wedding and Henry was choised only after Marguerite’s first bethroted (aka King Sebastian of Portugal) died

I agree that Elisabeth is not perhaps the most likely bride for Henri of Navarre, but what about her sister Claude? She's slightly younger so there's less of an age gap and was married to the Duke of Lorraine OTL. Small and unimportant though Navarre may be, a Kingdom is of higher status than a Duchy. I could see Claude being sent to Navarre to secure the southern border, if the opportunity arises. It would certainly be a more prestigious match for her than her OTL match.

I agree with @FalconHonour, Claude of France is a much better option than Elizabeth. A way of avoiding the two OTL marriages are:
- Having Charles III, Duke of Lorraine die during the 1552, when Lorraine was invaded by France.
- Have Margaret's secret romance with Henry, Duke of Guise, result in a pregnancy, with the disgraced Princess married off to him.

Henry IV of France (13/12/1553–14/5/1610) m. Claude of France (12/11/1547–21/2/1575)
Elizabeth of France (1568–1610)
Christine Marie of France (1569–1576)
Louis XIII, King of France (1572–1632)
Henrietta Maria of France (1573–1648)
Catherine of France (1574–1635)
Jeanne of France (1575–1576)

Both Lorraine and Navarre are more than acceptable options for Claude (who had physical deformities and so was excluded by the most prestigious matches). You need simply to take away the Duke of Lorraine as possible husband for Claude (maybe he had already married someone else or died?) and she will be the one to marry Henry of Navarre with Marguerite kept for another match
