Assume history goes more or less as OTL, but in the last years of Edward's reign, he marries his sister Elizabeth off to a prominent Protestant nobleman (any ideas who could fit the bill?). By time Edward dies, Elizabeth is happily married, and has already delivered a healthy daughter. Mary, as in OTL, marries Philip of Spain, tries desperately for a child, but contracts cancer and dies in autumn 1558 after persecuting Protestants. As one further twist, Elizabeth's husband dies around the same time, but the new Queen is pregnant- with a son.

How does Elizabeth's reign play out now? If she gives birth to a son pretty much as soon as she accedes the throne, would he become King when he came as age, or does his mother retain the crown (I forget how royal inheritance works here). Would Elizabeth considering remarrying? How would her young daughter and son grow up in this world?
