WI: Einstein becomes Israeli President?

Einstein was asked to become President of Israel in 1952 being one of the most famous Jews in his time, but he refused. He saw that he had not the aptitude to rule a nation, having dealt 'objective matters' all his life. What would have happened should Einstein become the President of Israel?

Apart from the symbolism, it would make very little difference, because the presidency of Israel is pretty much a ceremonial position.

It might give a slight public relations bounce to Israel, in the same way that certain inspirational proverbs are considered to have more gravitas when attributed to Einstein. In arguments about the pros and cons of Zionism, Israel/Palestine etc, Israeli apologists would make appeals along the lines of "But surely you can't believe that EINSTEIN would be involved in something evil!"

And the more lunatic quarters of anti-Israeli opinion would probably say stuff like the theory of relativity was a hoax, or stolen from other scientists, or that Einsten concocted it to help build atomic bombs for killing arabs.
