WI - Egypt gets Sudan and Uganda gets South Sudan

Apparently the British originally wished for what is now South Sudan to go to Uganda (not sure when though), what if they managed to get their way along with rest of Sudan going to Egypt? How to the PODs impact both countries?

Oh, when Ahmed Orabi, Italian and Greek anarchists, Egyptians and North Sudanese fought for independence from British supported caliph. Orabi gets to tackle social inequality, getting rid of colonialism influence (though allowed foreigners to stay, and ultimately, being Egyptian).

Nips in the bud of Muslim Brotherhood and the whole mess Egypt-Sudan condominium faces today.

South Sudan, except Abyei, and some parts of what is now CAR, to Uganda.

When does this take place?

The post-war period at the very latest though open to earlier PODs.

Inspired by the following old thread that included this map below. - https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/ahc-egyptian-sudan.249535/

Could have an alt Juba Conference with this outcome

Possible.

Apparently despite South Sudan and Uganda's sizes the latter ended up having a much larger population in OTL.

Not sure how Egypt would have been affected by incorporating Sudan or whether it would have indeed further cemented Egypt's status amongst the Arab nations, could it have potentially butterflied away Egypt's OTL economic and other issues? There is also the fact that ATL Egypt now shares a border with Ethiopia, which could potentially impact how Egypt responds to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Ethiopian_Renaissance_Dam

Egypt might not have to import so much food with Sudan.

It'd also butterfly away Omar Bashir, which is an unquestioned good for everyone in the region (I doubt that he could actually rise to lead Greater Egypt, he'd be some provincial crank at best).
