i'd known about the historical figure of Edward Braddock before Assassin's Creed 3 (it was actually Turtledove's United States of Atantis where i first learned of him, iirc) but i definitely learned more about him from AC3
one idea i've been batting around for a while is if Braddock survived his last, fateful expedition instead of being killed in action. this could affect not only the Seven Years' War, but also--conceivably--the American Revolution afterward (if it still happens). if he lived that long, would Braddock end up siding with the Americans or stay with the British? and how would his continued existence affect George Washington, who served under him?
