WI: Disney Corporation Collapses in the 1970's.

What if following the deaths of Walt and Roy Disney during the 1960's, the company as a whole collapses and is subject to sell off?

That leaves a huge vacuum in the animation industry. It could mean that the ''princess'' genre of animation is lost to history. However I think other movie-making companies will be able to fill in the vacuum left.

Some of those companies might be Don Bluth, Ralph Bashki, Hanna Barbera, Filmation. While none of them will become as large as Disney, the head of the animation industry might fracture among them.

Hannah-Barbara's increased prominence might lead to an increase of quality in their animation, as they would likely want to establish a distinctive brand rather than flooding the market with crap. Plus the aftermath of the collapse of Disney they might get some Disney talent to keep up quality.

Would it be possible for the two American Disney parks to still remain running? What if some enterprising theme park magnate buys the theme parks from the collapsing Disney for a song and keeps them running?

No mention of Warner Bros.?
