WI Dilma Rousseff lost 2014 Brazilian election?

What if Dilma Rousseff had lost the 2014 Brazilian election and Aecio Neves became President of Brazil? This is quite plausible given it was a close election and Rousseff only won by about 3%. What would be the effects? Would Neves handle the recession better or not? There would very likely be no impeachment, but how else would Neves be different from Rousseff? What if?

Sorry pal, I looked thinking you were on about Demis Rossous the singer!

This would castrate the brazilian right wing for over a decade, Dilma had freezed the oil prices during the election to prevent her defeat, this hurted even more the brazilian oil company Petrobrás, if she had lost the 2014 election to Aécio, as soon he took power the economy would crash as did with Dilma (but not so badly)

Would Petrobras still be a major issue? How would Neves tackle the recession? Would there be more austerity and attempts to cut spending?

The recession was impossible to stop, but Neves would make cuts everywhere (including in the social programs) and make more pragmatic decisions, the main problem would be that if the worker's party won, they would call general strike after general strike everytime, this would cause even more damage than the crisis itself

Indeed. The 2014 election was one no party should want to win, because they would be stuck with a mess that would take almost the entire term to fix(at best), while being harassed all the time by whomever wanted to score cheap political points. Meanwhile, whoever came after would be able to enjoy the benefits of the fix while being spared from making the painful and unpopular decisions that were(would have been) made.
