WI: different combat system for the Aztecs

The Aztecs didnt really fight to kill, but to get prisenors for sacrefices

could they in anny way evolve a system that would make them just kill their opponents, or sacrefice them on the battlefield???

The entire idea behind the religion was war and glory. Less people getting killed is generally better for everyone. It make sense, if you operate in the mindset that war was required and good.

If this is about fighting the Spanish, you have other problems to solve.

They did fight to kill, just not as much in a Flower War, which was a sort of pre-arranged affair. Otherwise they'd usually just take a captive if an opportunity showed up rather than going out of their way by a significant degree. And sacrificing people on the battlefield just sounds ridiculously impractical.
