What If Porfirio Díaz as president of México decides to distract the population by attempting to conquer all of Central America up to the Isthmus of panama

In what year? Presumably after 1900? I don't think the Central Americans will welcome him with open arms, that's for sure. And he can't touch Belize, or else the British will get involved. And he definitely can't touch Panama. If this is before the independence of Panama, the Mexicans will run into the Colombian Army, who can put up significantly more resistance than any Central American army. The Central Americans themselves will be a pain to deal with, because the terrain is mostly a mixture of mountains and jungles in an era of warfare where the defender generally had a far easier time.

But really, the moment any Mexican goes near a United Fruit Company plantation or damages infrastructure (railroads, ports) used (and owned) by the United Fruit Company, Diaz and the Mexicans are done for, because United Fruit will complain to the US government, and the US government will do something about that. Probably send some people to Mexico, and Mexico will have a coup and Diaz will be gone. But the thing is, Porfirio Díaz was a smart man--he knew that something like that was politically (and almost certainly militarily) unfeasible, and he knew the consequences of such actions (near-immediate loss of power).
