WI: Denmark joins the central powers and take baltic territories.

I don't exactly know why Denmark would send it's soldiers to Verdun.
They wouldn't. The idea is that Danish troops in the east allows more German troops to be freed up for the West. I was thinking something along the lines of the Somme being rebuffed while the Germans successfully grind down Verdun
 
Given how Denmark owns Greenland and Iceland, Denmark getting Russia's claim to Svalbard and Franz Josef Land is more likely.
