WI: DC Extended (Film and TV) Universe Starts At the Same Time as the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Lately, I've been thinking that Marvel and DC starting their own Cinematic and TV Universes at around the same time (2003-08). How could this have happened?

I imagine it's a fierce battle of film and TV show superiority, both being good, but will really take a hefty amount of money from each one of them due to the increase competition. Say The Avengers (2012). Certainly, if a Justice League Movie had aired around the same time as it, it wouldn't have earned more than a billion dollars in box office, but perhaps 2016's Batman vs. Superman and Captain America: Civil War airing a month from each other may show that they can still earn a lot.

So, what if this happened? How could this universe hold with 99% continuity?

Also, how do you get the Flash and Green Arrow TV Series to be connected with the film universe? It sucks that they did not include Grant Gustin and company in the film universe.

The fact that the DCEU are bent on being dark sucks: I mean, I think it shot down further creativity and color within it. What should be changed as well in this aspect, and others as well? To be exact, like the MCU in which they're not overly dark so things can be sorted out properly.

Also, I always felt that Man of Steel and BvS had scene which were too much compressed.

P.S. Some say the DC Animated Universe is a model???

It would further Marvel's dominance in the market as they continue producing quality films that intertwine with the Avengers films or films of similar size (Civil War) while DC continues exhausting galactic level threats and as a result would be burnt out by the time Infinity War Part One comes out.

Couldn't there have been "less-major-but-still-very-dangerous" threats for these people?

Sorry @All Rounder, would you mind explaining it?

How do you get a DCEU without the bad future that you said?

I had an idea, it's like this order (some famous characters appear but may not have their own filsm, e.g. Black Widow, Falcon, etc.):

Superman (2008)
Batman (2009)
Wonder Woman (2010)
Green Lantern (2011)
The Flash (2011, with the TV series, preferably Grant Gustin's TV series as well)
Green Arrow TV Series (2011-Present)
Justice League (2012)
Aquaman (2013)
Insert Superman Sequel Here (2013)
Insert Batman Sequel Here (2014)
Shazam! TV Series? (2014)
Cyborg (2014)
Legends of Tomorrow Movie (2014), TV Series afterwards

All of them join forces in a Justice League Expanded movie in 2015
Afterwards, Teen Titans, with their TV series?

Preferably a Civil War-esque Batman vs. Superman by 2016
Martian Manhunter (2016)
Suicide Squad (2017)

It's getting murky and possibly (I hope not) ASB by this point. I don't know how this is possible, I'm just posting it, I guess, for evaluation?

If it were more successful, and better done, than maybe a universe built off Superman Returns and incorporated with Batman Begins could have gotten some steam for a DC cinematic universe.

Hard to say, Darkseid is the main villain as of now in the DCEU and Doomsday and Zod are dead. Brainiac is a major villain, Superboy Prime is as well as Bizarro, when Anti-Monitor becomes the villain you need to reboot the series because he is the end all be all villain. You need smart writers and directors to help keep the films going, and not rush everything right away like with DoJ if the DCEU is to survive to 2020.

Not sure it's a good idea to compete with Marvel need to produce films with the same frequency, and impact on quality. Plus there would be no Batman-Aflik, and in fact probably the first film in universe was Batman.

@WotanArgead maybe you're correct. I listed all possible films of DC and they need to release in circa 2003-05, and the Justice League can only have the Martian Manhunter by 2012 if the an ATL DCCU starts in 2003, and a second Justice League Movie may not occur until 2016:

Phase 1:
Batman 1: 2003
Superman 1: 2004
Batman 2: 2005
Superman 2: 2006
Batman Vs. Superman (?) : 2007
Wonder Woman: 2008
Green Lantern: 2009
Arrow TV Series: 2010
The Flash TV Series: 2011
Aquaman: 2011
Martian Manhunter: 2011
Justice League: 2012

Phase 2:

Batman 3: 2013
Supergirl TV Series: 2013
Cyborg Movie: 2014
Superman 3: 2014
Constantine: 2014
Legends of Tomorrow TV Series: 2015
Teen Titans: 2015
Justice League 2 (Includes all other characters above): 2016

Phase 3:
Batman vs. Superman: 2017
Suicide Squad

That's not all of it. They have to start early, maybe right after DCAU that has critical acclaim and success.

It should be noted that the Batman:beginning (or as you call it there) came out in 2005.
The only possible advantage - it is not necessary for extreme measures DK will push a lot of things in one movie.

It's not exactly "at the same time" (to be honest with you guys, the best POD for that would be George Miller's Justice League movie getting off the ground and hitting its planned 2009 release date, leading to sequels and spin-offs), but my new timeline, Brightest Day for Warner Bros - A Tale of Two Franchises... well, without giving away too much, let's just say I think giving Green Lantern a director more suited to the material, coupled with sticking with a (refined) Berlanti/Green/Guggenheim script could've had some knock-on effects...
