WI Crusaders take Aleppo in 1126 AD?

The victory in battle of Azaz on 1125 allowed the Crusaders to regain much of the influence they had lost after their defeat at Ager Sanguinis in 1119. Baldwin II planned to attack Aleppo as well, but Antioch, which passed to Bohemund II when he came of age in 1126, began to fight with Edessa and the plan fell through. Aleppo and Mosul were united under the much stronger ruler Zengi in 1128, and Crusader control of northern Syria began to dwindle.
WI Kingdom of Jerusalem had captured Aleppo then? It was a strong point in Syria and could be used for raids in Damascus area...
How is this altering History? Any thoughts?

Aleppo

It would have been a smart strategy for holding northern Syria. However, the problem is what becomes of the territory.. It 's too far north to really be a fief of Jerusalem. The prince of Antioch or the count of Edessa would both have desired it. Then there is the problem of population. Aleppo is a pretty large city, with a significant Muslim population. Would new settlers arrive from the west? or do more Armenians settle there?

So what is the exact POD? I know that the Kingdom of Jerusalem never seemed to be able to really project power and capture major strong points in Syria. Baldwin III was unable to capture Damascus, either on his own or with help from the Second Crusades.

Baldwin III was able to capture Ascalon with just native strength, so maybe its possible that before the powerful leadership of Zengids Aleppo could be taken.

If the Kingdom of Jerusalem had captured Aleppo then Baldwin II would be in a really excellent position. Aleppo is the end point of the Silk Road, and a much more important city economically and strategically than Damascus. With control of Aleppo Baldwin II has a very strong position in northern Syria and will be able to leverage Aleppo's trade to control Antioch. I think that if the Kingdom of Jerusalem could pull off the capture of Aleppo with just native strength then it would only be a matter of time before Damascus too fell.

Under these conditions an enduring Outremer is a very real possibility, since Syria will be secured, and it is going to prove quite difficult to surround and destroy the Latin East ala Saladin, since the Syrian front has been secured.

I guess that since Syria is secured and Antioch is literally a vassal of Kingdom of Jerusalem (since they can control trade flow through Aleppo)
Kingdom of Jerusalem would have had the resources and the manpower to launch a succesfull attack on Egypt...
