This is a idea I'm playing with and think to be quite a interesting idea to play with.
IOTL the conquistadors are famous for taking over the Aztecs and later the Inca with just a few hundred men and horses. They were essentially a private enterprise which only attained full recognition from the Spanish crown since possession is nine tenths of the law.
So....

A sort of Teutonic (Well...latino) Order in Mexico?
Of course the POD here wouldn't be just prior to the invasion of Mexico, we'd probally have to go back some way. In the context I'm thinking of it its following a big and succesful upsurge in crusading in the mid 15th century but it doesn't nessesarily need to be so large a change....
