Arguably this is the height of Bill Cosby's career. And at this point, he is recognized as a pioneer in Black equality, has a long career, and one of the most popular television shows in history. He has also done good work in terms of charity, college education, and many other philanthropic ventures. He is America's darling. The Cosby Show broke ground and resonated in the culture. It had the popular spinoff "A Different World", was the show that lead to the creation of "Married...With Children" as its antagonist, and reverberated into a variety of programs lead by Black actors into the 90s.
What if, during that height and in the midst of all that, the Cosby scandal had erupted?
