WI: Communists win Greek Civil War

I would say earliest effects would be a shameful defeat for the United Kingdom and the United States due to their support in the war. It may become an embarrassment for Stalin for he was against the war but Tito was fully supportive of it. This could lead to a greater strain in their relation with the possibility of Tito creating a power bloc in the Balkans. The Turkish state would no doubt fell threatened by this and would attempt for increasing ties with First World Nations.

What if the Communists won the Greek Civil War? How would that affect the Cold War?

I would rather ask : what if the non-communists win the greek civil war at an even bloodier cost ?

The US and the UK would never let the communists win : Greece was strategically too important.

They're unlikely to invade, and if the communist government pushes the Greek government to the sea, then it's a win for them no matter what the U.S. Says. At most there's a ridiculous war in Greece.

My timeline Stars & Sickles has a Communist Greece as a result of an ELAS/EAM victory in the Greek Civil War.

Despite what some other people say, it's very doubtful that the EAM would side with Tito, despite his support. Their leadership were staunch Stalinists.
