WI: Clinton Presidency

Not Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton for 2008.

How does this affect the United States and the World? Would the recession be like OTL, worse then OTL, or better than OTL? What does she do with Al-Qaida, Afghanistan War, Iraq War, and the possibility of Iranian and North Korean nukes?

Well, the two are essentially alike; conservatives with liberal edges. To think of it, I think Clinton would probably be the more conservative of the two. Some difference would be

1. Stricter laws regarding firearms. Clinton, in the past has seemed to lean more on gun regulation than Obama, and would probably have enacted some sort of gun regulation by now.

2. A stronger pro-environment stance. This could not be for certain, as Obama had a strong pro-environment stance be fore he was re-elected, and look where that ended up.

3. More scientific progression. Unlike Obama, Clinton's position on the matter seems to be more scientific funding, such as in NASA, Embryonic Stem Cell Research and environmental defence.

Largely the same cast of characters in the administration as Obama, hence policies are likely more or less the same. Holbrooke probably gets SoS.

You may have some of the dysfunctional campaign staff following along into the WH staff with negative consequences.

I think she'd be in a little higher standing than Obama is, but I'm not trying to imply as much by that as it may seem.
