Churchill became PM after several predecessors in the same government. Could he have instead became the leader of his party before the election and won in 1935 outright? Or would it be more feasible for him to be the replacement for Baldwin, instead of Chamberlain? In either case, how?

Whats the most likely way in which he could have gained power sooner? Is it possible without ASB's?

The implications for a pre-1938 Churchill would have been massive. He was staunchly anti appeasement, and would have called Hitler out on his bluffs, and stopped the annexation of Czechoslovakia, or at least brought the nation into the conversation. Churchill saw the threat of Hitler early on and would have ensured Britain was in a position to properly counter his advances. His frustration with Chamberlains Appeasement decision was proof enough.

Britain would have begun rearming at a much faster pace, possibly holding off the start of a conflict with Germany for a few more years. What other implications would there have been had there been an earlier PM Churchill?
