WI CHurchill is assassinated in December of 1944?

In December of 1944 British Prime Minister Churchill made a trip to Athens which at the time was in the brick of civil war between Royalists and Communists... He was scheduled to stay at the "Grande Bretagne" Hotel in Syntagma Square just across the Parliament building... His stay there was canceled the last minute because British Inteligence learned that Communists had trapped the building's foundations with dynamite and Churchill stayed in another place during his visit...
WI he had stayed in Grand Bretagne Hotel and he was killed when Communists set off the dynamite in the building? What happens next? How is this altering History?

Oh My God! You Killed Churchill! You Bastards! :D
Well, not as much controversy of Eastern Europe with Churchill gone, and also you cant forget what will happen without him and his second term in the 50's.

Attlee was the Deputy Prime Minister so I expect he would become Prime Minister. If the Conservatives would not accept Attlee because he was Labour, alternative possibilities would be Sir John Anderson (who as a National was nominally non-party), the Chancellor of the Exchequer, or Anthony Eden, the Foreign Secretary.

Eden was regarded as Churchill's heir apparent, so he would most likely succeed him as leader of the Conservative Party. If not Oliver Stanley, who held various cabinet posts before and during World War II, is a feasible possibility.

Atlee would likely be caretaker/intrim PM until the Conservative Party decide who will led them, most likely Eden, but there are a few others, such as Oliver Stanley who could be acceptable.
