WI: Christopher, Duke of Lolland, survives?

IOTL, one of the reasons the Kalmar Union came about was the death of Christopher, Duke of Lolland, the only surviving son of King Valdemar IV of Denmark. He was in fine health until 1363 when he fell ill and died. Some sources write that he was injured during the Battle of Helsingborg and suffered a mental disorder.

Christopher was between 19 and 22 years old when he died, and his father would outlive him by 12 years. That's old enough and time enough to father children of his own with, say, Catherine of Bohemia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_of_Bohemia), if Rudolf of Austria still dies on schedule.

If Christopher isn't injured or take ill, how might Denmark be affected by the continuation of the House of Estrid in the male line?

Basically he would have a Charlemagne situation; i.e. when the Holstein counts is checked he'd to to Sweden to conquer then his sister in Norway - Margrethe - would stir up diplomatic trouble then the Holstein counts would make demands and he'd to pull out of Sweden to settle that. And so on and on and ... :p

What the fuck?

Why would he attack Norway if his sister is married to it's king? Why would he alienate an ally like that? As for Sweden, aside from possibly helping Haakon gain the throne, Valdemar IV had already gotten what he wanted from Sweden - Scania.

Valdemar IV merely reasserted his postion in Scania - mind you it was originally Danish not a Swedish land.

Why would family during the Middle Ages be allies - if a prize perceived greater than family alliance were within reach they would grab it. Both Norway and Denmark would benefit from ruling Sweden or the other.

There's no fuck in this just priorities.
