WI Christina of Sweden becomes Queen of Naples in 1657?

If Christina of Sweden was successful in gaining the throne of Naples for herself in 1657 (no Monaldeschi murder), how would European history be affected with a Swedish dynasty ruling Naples, possibly for decades?

I say decades because I think that Spain would try to get rid of Christina or her successor, or that the Italians of Naples wouldn't like being ruled by a Swedish-Lutheran-born queen, and try to overthrow her and replace her with a French monarch, which is what was favored by the Neapolitans at the time.

she would have to marry and have children, which is unlikely considering that she was likely a lesbian .. also Christina converted to Roman Catholism..

Actually, this makes it sound like it would make a great novel. I found out in researching other stuff that Christina actually wrote memoirs. I bet that would make fascinating reading.

Oh, I know she wasn't straight. At the very least, she was bisexual, because she did have some affairs with men. But you're right, it's extremely unlikely that Christina would have children...if she was Queen of Naples, then probably a relative would succeed her. Or would the Neapolitans take the opportunity to kick the Swedes out?

And yes, I know she converted to Catholicism. I said Lutheran-born.:D

Wasnt the deal that shed become non-hereditary Queen, or do I misremember that?

Oh my. I go back and check in my book of European monarchs, and...well, I need to pay more attention to little details like that. Thanks for the correction...
