WI: Chief Metacomet (King Phillip) wins King Phillip's War and wipes out English control in New England?

King Phillip's War was the English name for a conflict between an alliance of Native American tribes in what is now New England and the Snglish settlers. The English settler population was badly hit by the war (obviously the natives were worse hit in the end). But what if Chief Metacomet had been a little more successful? What if more nations had joined his campaign against the English? What if Boston was seized, or perhaps simply collapsed from starvation, disease, or fire?
What would the effect on North American history be?

I will paraphrase an earlier thread.

Metacomet is too late. In 1676, he had 3,400 soldiers out of population of 10,000 natives. The colonists had at least as many soldiers out of population of 65,000 settlers. If your goal is the death or subjugation of all New Englanders, try an earlier POD:

In 1643, Miantonomoh of the Narragansett wanted war. It never happened as Unacas of the Mohegans valued his alliance with John Mason. Prevent this alliance, recruit the Moquakoes and Mohawks, include the pre-genocide Pequots, and you have a large anti-settler front. That said, in 1640 the New Englanders numbered about 14,000 so the advantage is still theirs.

Dutch (possible PoD) or French guns, Iroquois help would be nice and they would probably be the long term winners.

Their window of opportunity would be the English Civil War. After that, Cromwell would have sent his NMA troops from England to deal with the Indians.

They were fighting each other in the Franco-Dutch War.

If the English were driven from New England, the French would probably move in. This would most likely be through alliance with the local Indians rather than direct settlement, given how few Frenchmen there were in North America. The English colonies would be limited to the South, maybe the Mid-Atlantic, which would have big effects on *American* culture. Puritanism wouldn't have the same cultural impact, and slavery would be even more important, for starters.
