This was inspired by this discussion on roles people would have celebrities play.

There is no set POD within this discussion, other than the 2000s or 2010s so it's not too large a timeframe to work with.

Like the thread linked to, this is for discussion as well as listing them.

I'll mention a few, and include roles that they got in the ATL.

Here's some from the 2000s and 2010s in the ATL:

-----

Danielle Savre

Notable roles: She appeared in Doctor Who in 2016, playing a human alien trader who was trying to con the multiverse, and the Doctor.

In 2015, she also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Avengers: Age Of Ultron playing Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch

Christina Chong

Notable roles: Unlike in OTL, this British actress would appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Iron Fist, playing Colleen Wing, owner of the dojo.

She would also appear in several major British films between 2014 and 2018.

Arielle Kebbel

Notable roles: In this ATL, Arielle would appear in British drama Line of Duty in 2019, and would be a new member of the team, a Floridian who moved to England to work for the Central Police, and is now working in AC-12. She did make a small cameo in Season 4 in 2017, but was uncredited.

In the United Kingdom, this role gave her star status.

Between 2015-2018, Arielle would play Dr. Karla McKenna in Grey's Anatomy, who was widely disliked by her colleagues even though she was in the right a lot of the time.

Arielle also appeared in Red Sparrow in 2018, playing the role of Dominika Egorova, who in OTL was portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence. Arielle would be absent from some Grey's Anatomy episodes in 2017 to film Red Sparrow in Hungary, Slovakia and Austria.

Erin Way

Notable roles: In OTL, she had various supporting roles.

In this ATL, Erin would have a regular role in Netflix crime drama Mindhunter, portraying the lesbian closeted psychologist Wendy Carr.

She would also have a major role in a BBC movie set in the period of Henry VIII, portraying one of his six wives (possibly Catherine Parr or Catherine Howard). The movie would be airing on Sunday night and be 120 minutes in length.

Set in an alternate history, the movie has all six of Henry VIII's wives, but events play out very, very differently to our timeline, although as in our timeline, he still goes through all six wives.

Erin would also appear in a Netflix movie called Montana Prairie (working title), focusing on settlers in Montana from 1861-1864, and their struggles to survive.

Historians praise the film for its true-to-life nature and general accuracy over being action-packed, and it's successful for Netflix.

I'm interested to see your choices on celebrities who aren't A-listers in OTL, but become A-listers in ATL.
