Another idea spurred on from the Pope Tamás Bakócz thread, but is it possible we could see a German peasant rebellion sparked by radical Catholics, rather than radical Reformers? Could a "peasant pope," (Bakócz was born a wagoner's son), along with some hypothetical radical Catholic priests still claiming allegiance to the Church allow for this? The Pope will of course quickly denounce these rebellions once he hears of them, but it still make the Church look bad in Germany as peasant bands claim authority from the Pope.
