WI: Catherine the Great loses the Russo-Turkish War?

Does Russia still become considered a Great Power?

Let's say the Ottomans achieve victory with no rebellions from Egypt and Syria and the British do not lend aid to Russia. Does this mean Russia does not achieve great power status?

What butterflies could this lead to? No partitions of Poland for Russia or maybe a loss to the swedes in the Russo-Swedish war?
Please elaborate :)

I'd say a defeat would imply additional reforms. Which could increase Russian power status even more than victories against the Turks.

On the other side, the Ottomans cannot occupy or annex the whole of Russia, we might only see the Khanates enlarged or something like that.
Therefore there's always the chance of another Russo-Turkish war and a reversal.

To conclude, I think at the time of Catherine the Great the only chance to end Russias ascension to Great Power status is Balkanization.

how badly is russia beaten?
is it just a question of Romania remaining in the Turkish sphere of influence, or could the Ottoman impose a rechristening of Catherine nephews using different names?

Let's say the Ottomans are able to keep the war to a draw and Russia does not get to annex Kerch, the Ukraine, and the northern Caucasus. Also, the Crimeans do not become dependent on Russia, and Russia fails to gain any warm water ports. Turkey does not gain anything however.
