WI: Castro Assassination Successful Under Kennedy Admin.?

But what could this do to revolutionary groups in Africa that had Cuban support under Castro?

If Castro's death means the fall of his regime, the various Communist groups in Africa will lose their patronage, although I could imagine a lot of exiled Castro supporters going overseas.

Some kind of "Legion of Jose Marti" fighting in various Commie wars instead of official Cuban troops?

Somehow I doubt many will volunteer to go, and certainly not in any number nor with much monetary support. If the USSR does not pick up the slack, there is still China, but both regimes will pick their battles.

If whoever takes power after Castro is in a vengeful mood, it might be hiding out in the Congo or swinging from a rope.

China sure as hell ain't gonna be doing any mucking about outside of Asia. The Soviets won't allow it and China's got far bigger immediate concerns than Red guerrillas in Africa.
