The Canterbury Tales was the seminal work in English literature. It tells the story of three pilgrims going on their way to Canterbury. They spend their time on the way there bullshitting each other and telling fart jokes. Out of the planned 100 - 120 chapters only 24 were finished before its author Geoffrey Chaucer died. The pilgrims never even reach Canterbury! However, what if he completed more of them, and left behind enough notes for the rest to be finished later? How would that affect the English language?
