WI: Calvin Coolidge runs for President in 1932

In 1932, a lot of Republicans thought they were certain to lose with Hoover as their nominee. Some of them suggested running Calvin Coolidge again instead of Hoover. In OTL, Coolidge wasn't interested in running again. What if he can be somehow persuaded to run for the Republican nomination. If he did, he would have been a strong challenger for Hoover. Do you think he could've won the nomination? And if he did, do you think he could have won the election.

From there, you have two options if he wins the election. You could butterfly away his heart attack that caused his death on January 5, 1933, 2 months before he would be inaugerated, and focus on his Presidency, or you could focus on what would happen if the President-Elect dies.

You have to understand that a one eyed cow could have beaten Hoover in 1932. Fairly or not, he shouldered the blame for everything that went wrong. To his credit, he lead a full productive life for his final thirty years, and never complained.

You can't "butterfly away" heart disease. His heart is not going to be miraculously cured the moment he decided to run again in 1932. With today's technology of heart bypass surgery and angioplast Coolidge would added another 20 years on to his lfe.
