WI: Caesarion born a girl?

What the title says. In this situation, what influence might this young daughter of Caesar have? Would she be a suitable bride for Octavian or, perhaps, one of his allies? Probably the latter, since, by adoption, they were siblings under Roman law. Its my understanding that the law treated them as full siblings in that regard. In that case, to whom might he marry her?

Wasn't it said that according to Roman law,Caesarion wasn't recognised as Caesar's son at all?Besides, couldn't the law be changed?Tiberius did marry his step-sister eventually.

Me thinks Livia would kill Caesaris if Octavian would bring her to Rome and think about marrying her. You could have Octavian marry her off to his stepson Tiberius.

Without a son to replace her brother as co-ruler, Cleopatra won't poison her brother.

F!Caesarion would be named something like Berenike, Julia or another Cleopatra. The Isis-Horus imagery of Cleopatra and Caesarion would probably also disappear, replaced with Demeter-Persephone and symbolizing the fertility of the Nile.

If Rome still ends up conquering Egypt, a daughter of Caesar is far less a threat than a son, and so she'll probably live as a prisoner until they bother arranging an advantageous marriage for her like they did with her OTL sister.

Well, if she's not a child of Caesar, she's of little political use. If she is, then she's Octavian's sister in the eyes of the law. Your point about Tiberius is valid, though it is two decades into the Imperial era by that point, and he was a match of last resort, as it were.

Certainly an option. However, what if Octavian never marries Livia in the first place?

Would the Romans accept their emperor marrying a bastard daughter of Caesar and an Egyptian princess at that?

No. And Augustus is way too clever to give the senatorial opposition a chance to blame him. His position in the first decades after Actium was way too fragile.

A daughter of Cleopatra would had most probably the same fortune as lots of other childs of oriental kings (e.g. some kids of the parthian king). She would live and grow in Rome and get a roman education. And if she is old enough she gets married with an oriental client-king. Whatever Augustus decides.
