Inspired by the recent thread on McGovern. Let's say Gene wins in '68 (with the help of ASB ;)).

So far I've got:

  • President: Eugene McCarthy
  • Vice President: Carl Sanders
  • State: George Ball
  • Treasury: Albert Gore, Sr.
  • Defense: Wayne Morse
  • Justice: Walter Mondale
  • Postmaster General: ?
  • Interior: Stewart Lee Udall
  • Agriculture: Orville Freeman
  • Commerce: ?
  • Labor: ?
  • HEW: ?
  • HUD: ?
  • Transportation: ?

I think whoever you don't have would just be carried over from Johnson's Administration. It's not creative but off the top of my head I really can't think of anyone who is suited for the office, and also would be willing to serve with McCarthy after the drumming he gave to the Establishment.

Would any of the Party's more liberal wing decide to jump aboard? Maybe Bob Meyner as AG or McGovern or Ribicoff in the cabinet?
