Immediately after the events of 9/11, President Bush falls into a state of despair and sorrow, wracked by guilt of "allowing" such a thing to happen.

The next day on September the 12th, Bush addresses the nation live on television. In addition to comforting the traumatized US populace and assuring that justice will be done, there is a noticeable melancholic look on the President's face. Near the end of the address, Bush breaks down into tears, and begs the American people to forgive him for "letting it happen under my watch". The address cuts out after he is done and while President is in the middle of weeping on air. He goes to sleep that night, and never wakes up...

On the morning of September the 13th 2001, Americans wake up to grim news. George Walker Bush Junior, 43rd President of the United States of America is dead. He fell victim to a massive heart attack in his sleep, brought on by "severe stress". For many, he died of a broken heart caused by the September 11th attacks. Regardless, the Curse of Tippecanoe has seemingly struck again.

What happens to America post-09/13/2001? How would (Now) President Cheney handle the War on Terror? And what would Bush's legacy be ITTL?
