WI: Burr Wins

Say Burr wins the 1800 election. But the thing is, apparently Jefferson wasn't going to accept that and planned to use Virginia militia to seize the presidency. So what if Burr wins and then Jefferson raises the militia and seizes Washington. What happens next?

As I understand it, the Jeffersonians (specifically Governors Monroe of Virginia and McKean of Pennsylvania) were threatening to use force (their state militias) *not* to prevent the election of Burr but in case the lame duck Federalist Congress tried to appoint an "interim president" (possibly John Marshall) should the deadlock continue. https://books.google.com/books?id=csUBCgAAQBAJ&pg=PT46
