In 27 April 1941 German forces invading Greece entered Athens... And they started moving towards Peloponese... British troops along with remnants of Greek army retreated to Peloponese to make a last stand there... The plan was that British were to blow up the bridge in the Canal of Corinth so to delay the Germans... But the plan failed as the Germans were first there and disarmed the explosives... British then changed plans quickly and evacuate for Crete through the port of Kalamata in South Peloponese...
WI the bridge was blown up? Could the British have organised a better defense in Peloponese and hold them there?
If the bridge was destroyed would the Germans have used paratroopers to attack Peloponese? Or they would attempt an amphibious assault... Royal Navy was still around by that time... Any thoughts? How is that changing History?
