Suppose that the british and loyalist forces manage to keep the Ohio Valley and most of the great lakes region (OTL US states of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesotta, and Wisconsin) after the American Independence War.
How does this affect...
-British Canada and its expansion? Will the regions that would, IOTL, make up the states of Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington fall into british hands instead?
-The USA and their expansion? Will there still be a Louisiana purchase and will it be as large as OTL?
-The native americans of the region?
Either way, what's the best PoD for this scenario to come about?

It's tough but doable.

IOTL, one of the greatest grievances the colonists had was being restricted from the Ohio River Valley.

They can lose that while winning the war, but it'd be a major point of contention.
