WHOA, slow down, I dun think that if France can uphold that whole empire, that'd be huge.

Remember; it would be a joint Franco-Spanish empire in America. That might be feasible as the French might be more prone to reforms than the Spanish and had more ressources to quell rebellion. On the other hand, of course, even Britain didn't manage in 1776/83.

Well as a Kiwi, always thought how the French would have treated the Maori in New Zealand and or the Aboriginal Australians. If they had become the Colonial power.

Although keep in mind that in OTL the Spanish were very successful at reforming their empire under the Bourbon dynasty. Things were only really screwed up by the French Revolution, which in all probability will not be a problem ITTL.
