WI:Bolkiah Mexican-Bruneian Empire

Is it possible for the Mexican Empire to be ruled by the Bolkiahs, some of the Bolkiahs were Catholics and some were even exiled to Mexico before, is it possible for some of the Bolkiahs to rise up to the ladder of Spanish nobility and administration and even made as a Spanish peer and become the ruler of Mexico and reconquer all of the Bruneian Empire and lands near it.

Brunei never ceased to exist though, it just got smaller, plus given Spains attitudes towards non-Europeans (Catholic or not) I think it's highly implausable abunch of of South-East Asian exiles would ever become nobility, especially in what was essentially Spains India.

Well, it's pretty well known that a lot of the ruling class from the Aztec days were married into the Viceroyal nobility, including a family of direct descendants of Montezuma who are still around today.

So if the Catholic Bruneians become integrated into the Mexican ruling class, there is certainly a small but existent chance that they could come out on top at some point, supposing that Mexico becomes an independent monarchy or aristocracy at some point. However, this process would take hundreds of years, and by that point the descendents of any exiled Catholic Bolkiahs would be culturally indistinguishable from other nobles, and would almost certainly have no urge to colonize their original homeland.
