WI: Bloody Mary marries James V of Scotland

What if Henry VIII had a mistake of having Mary Tudor married to James V, knowing that such marriage be improbable because of their close relationship since they are first cousins.

The usual "How does this begin to make sense?" questions asked of "What if X marries Y" scenarios.

And first cousins need a papal dispensation. Henry might not care, but James (and Mary) will.

While in some respects I can see the attraction from Henry's side, I can't see why James would go for this. James' foreign policy generally consisted of drawing closer to France and later the Papacy - there's no reason for him to choose an English bride over a French one.
