WI: Black Ops included a JFK Assassination level

*SPOILERS: Don't read unless you've finished the game or just don't care*

In the game Call of Duty: Black Ops, it is heavily hinted at what you did involving the JFK assassination. However I, and many others I think, had a problem that that whole JFK assassination area was too little explored.

So what if they included one of those flashback levels where you actively assassinated President Kennedy? What would the reaction be to that?

A few years ago there was an online game that let you shoot JFK from either the Book depository or the grassy knoll.

Teddy and the clan hit the roof and it was pulled by the server operators; which to me was a shame because it showed how good a view the book depository actually gave.

JFK: Reloaded. I don't think it gave the option of the Grassy Knoll, though.

I expect you're right, memory playing tricks.

I believe there were user-made modifications that let you play from the Grassy Knoll, but I don't remember. I have the game installed on my PC; it's free from the internet. Maybe a DLC will allow a JFK assassination level in COD:BO.

I too wondered this, and it would be nothing short of a shitstorm. It would be like No Russian in Modern Warfare 2, only about ten times worse. As someone has already stated, a game was once released that allows you to actively kill him. It was labelled as being 'educational' and was panned.

In short, not only would this lead to America at least blocking that mission, at the most attempting a banning of the game. But for the entire gaming industry, all the old farts who say that games are satanic would have a more popular opinion and would probably set back revolutionary gaming for years to come.

Before anyone says this, that mission would be > anything GTA has thrown as the public.

Anyone else think this actually happened or was at least considered but the response from the people they proposed it to scared them out of it?

Yeah, I think that too. It feels like it was meant to give you...something more. The JFK subplot feels like it was brought up for no real reason, and no real payoff. It feels empty. So either this was intended, or it was just bad story telling.
