WI Bill Clinton picks Bob Graham in 1992?

PoD: 1992

Bill Clinton picks Florida governor and senator Bob Graham as his vice-presidential nominee instead of Al Gore.

Effects, anyone? (Graham was on Clinton's short list IOTL; interestingly, he was also on Al Gore's short list to be the VP nominee in 2000--which would likely make a difference in Florida in 2000, IMO)

I don't think this would seriously impact the 1992 election. VP candidates, it turns out, have only a minimal impact on a voter's pick for President. But this would make all the difference in 2000: Florida was Graham's home state, and if Gore lost there by only 537 votes then home state advantage alone would almost certainly hand that state to Graham. If Graham wins Florida and every state that Gore won, he would defeat Bush.
