what would have happened if the 1891 Shearers strike in Australia was timed better? By firstly making the previous summer less wet (or with less ASB, shifting it to 1890 or 1892), and secondly shifting their strike start so it had more critical effect, being shifted to the middle of winter (june-august)
Would we have had something appoaching civil war, would they have been able to push their demands through or what? ... could it prehaps even have tumbled into a successful push for a proto-socialistic, if not near-communist, nation either consisting of all of Australia or parts of it?
