The POD is that on the 29th of March 1461 the Lancastarian forces win a victory at the battle of Towton and Edward, Earl of the March (Edward IV in OTL) is killed in the battle or executed soon afterwards. The POD I propose is that it did not snow on that particular day, which made visibility very poor for the Lancastrian archers. Naturally Margaret of Anjou sends Edward's head wearing a paper crown, to join his father and younger brother over Micklegate Bar in York.

Edward was pretty forgiving of enemies who fought against him at Towton. However Margaret of Anjou is not going to be forgiving, therefore the aftermath of the battle are going to see lots of executions committed and attainders issued. Therefore along with Edward, other Yorkist nobles such as Richard Neville Earl of Warwick, Lord Fauconberg and Thomas De Mowbray, 3rd Duke of Norfolk are going be killed in battle or just after it.

On the other hand the Lancastarian nobles who died in the battle or were executed soon afterward are likely to survive in this TL. For example; Henry Percy 3rd Earl of Northumberland, Lord Dacre of Gisland and Sir Andrew Trollope.
