WI baseball starts early?

I've read (somewhere) the first recognizable baseball game played in North America was in Ontario in 1839.

So, WI pro baseball started around 1840 in Ontario? How much would baseball change?

I'm going to presume it still takes off in the U.S. Enough for the NL & AL to absorb competing leagues, like the Federal or PCL, rather than try & wipe them out?

Would it (perforce) be organized the same way? Is there a maximum number of teams that's possible? Might it not survive the "monopoly challenge" of the Federal League?

Does invention in Canada improve the odds for integration early?

Any other thoughts?

It seems that baseball was not suddenly invented (like basketball) but gradually developed over a long time. You have to have this version of baseball be universally accepted over the others, which may be challenging.

Okay, take as given it starts in Ontario instead of Cincinnati.
