WI: Aurelian lives longer -- who would he pick as heir?

A mostly self-explanatory title. If the Roman emperor Aurelian is not assassinated on his way to a campaign against Persia in 271 AD (CORRECTION: 275 AD), completes such campaign, and luckily dies on his deathbed, who will he pick as his successor?
It seems to me that the option pool was narrow, seeming that Aurelian had no children.

Would Aurelian's consular colleague, Marcellinus, be a good candidate, too?

Yeah, I think Marcellinus would be a better choice than Placidianus. It seems Aurelian had great faith in his abilities making him his viceroy of the east. Other options I suppose would be Urban Prefect of Rome or Prefect of Egypt.

He was assasinated in 275.

Probus seams to be a good option.
